In December of 2016, at the request of NTT DoCoMo, the “+d Management Workshop” was launched by a group of companies capable of advocating and developing technologies that can contribute to society by utilizing IoT specialized for the transportation industry.

Logistics, the infrastructure of industry, faces critical issues caused by the ever-increasing demand for logistics, the aging population, and a tough work environment. The idea of IoT mitigating these issues was raised in the workshop, and to answer the call of industry, “docomap JAPAN” was established in August 2017 as a company that provides “DoCoMAP”, an affordable GPS-based vehicle location information management system to logistics companies who have not yet implemented any IT solutions, with the aim of promoting a “work style” reform in the industry.
